Center for Onchocerciasis Diagnostics
Research Laboratory
Our Mission:
The Center for Onchocerciasis Diagnostics Research Laboratory is dedicated to advancing the research and development of diagnostic tools for the detection and elimination of onchocerciasis, commonly known as River Blindness. Our mission is to contribute to the global health initiative aimed at the elimination of filarial diseases, particularly across Africa and Latin America.
Our laboratory is committed to developing innovative strategies and technologies to support the ongoing efforts to eliminate onchocerciasis, as well as black fly vector surveillance strategies. We aim to make a significant impact by supporting our onchocerciasis collaborating partners with diagnostic tools, supply procurement and technical training by leveraging our expertise in molecular diagnostics, epidemiology, medical entomology and public health.
